Outfit of the day: Comfy Casual Workwear

Apologies for the severe lack of posts at the moment. It's currently fashion exhibition season which means I spend a bit of time away going to shows and also, my own show is coming up which means I have a lot to do at the moment!

I took a few quick snaps of one of my outfits while at Pitti Bimbo in Florence. At exhibitions you walk miles so I always try and go for something comfortable but stylish.

Check out that snazzy wallpaper in the hotel! I felt like I was in an Austin Powers movie!

Dress - Topshop
Bag (not shown but thought i'd mention it anyway) - Longchamp
Suede Boots - River Island (similar here)
Watch - Fossil

Review: Boots No. 7 Perfectly Bronzed Self-Tan Mousse

I have absolutely no brand loyalty when it comes to fake tan. From moisturisers with a hint of tanner, wash off tan and the full blown thing. You name it, I've tried 'em all. I kind of go for the whole 'theres always something better out there' motto.

As usual my fake tan had run out and I was in the market for a new one so I picked up the Boots No. 7 Perfectly Bronzed Quick Dry Tinted Mousse. I do find a mousse consistency the easiest and quickest to use which is what attracted me to this one. Plus it reminded me of the St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse but is about half the price!

So here is the bad boy:

You have to give it a good old shake to create the mousse I guess! I find a couple of pumps for each limb does the trick.

The mousse is super easy to use and is pretty much idiot proof which is right up my street! It drys really quick which is great for the horrifically cold mornings we're having in London at the moment when I literally jump out of the shower slap a bit of this on and off I go! Another big thing for me with fake tan is the smell. I cannot stand that biscuity smell which you just can't get rid of! This one however doesn't really seem to have any smell at all.

The only downside I can see to this fake tan is that the colour isn't all that strong with just one application. This is probably partly my fault as I accidentally bought the light/medium one but it is however totally build able and after around 3 applications it gives a gorgeous natural looking glow.

Im not yet 100% sure if I would re-purchase this really just because there may be something better out there but you never know! If you would like to give it a go then you can buy it here

What is your favourite fake tan?

Outfit of the Night: Menswear Collections Preview

On Saturday evening I was invited to a London Menswear collections preview. One of my New Years resolutions is to stop buying so much cheap throw away fashion and to shop from my own wardrobe a bit more so this is what I decided to do this evening.

Playsuit - Primark
Bag - Chanel
Shoes - New Look

I bought this rather cute printed playsuit a couple of years ago and I go through phases of wearing it a lot then not wearing it for a while. I was originally looking for a dress to wear and then found this! The shoes I also hadn't worn in a while. I actually bought these for work and thought they would be comfy but then I discovered they rub quite a bit. When you work in exhibitions and have to walk miles every day for 5 days straight these aren't the best shoes to wear! They are however great for nights out.

What did you get up to at the weekend?

50 Facts About Me

I haven't been doing this blog malarky for all that long so today I thought i'd share 50 random facts about me. Here goes...

I am left handed (oddly so is Tom!)

I was born in Cheshire

I grew up in Warwickshire

I have a degree in Fashion Design

My middle name is Elizabeth

I am petrified of the dark

And wet plastic bags

And deep water (not sure why as I can swim!)

And any animals with no legs (snakes are the worst)

I'm not scared of spiders however!

I am hideously blind and I have to wear either contact lenses or glasses at all times otherwise I can't see more than 1 metre in front of me

The only pet I've ever had is a fish called Floppy that I won at a fair

I went on a world cruise when I was 6 years old

I am naturally blonde

Previously my hair has been white, bluey-grey, pink, purple, red and green coloured!

Interestingly though, I haven't seen my natural hair colour since I was 16 so for all I know its probably grey by now!

I have a beanie baby duck that travels everywhere with me and I can't sleep without him

I work for a large-scale exhibitions company

I absolutely love reading

Im also old before my time - I love knitting!

And crochet

Last year when I was on gardening leave from work I literally spent a whole month just doing crochet

My favourite colour is pink

My favourite animals are Ducks and Tigers

If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life if would without a doubt be cereal

If I could only drink one thing for the rest of my life it would be Ribena

Im actually really shy around people I don't know

I failed a good proportion of my GCSE's (I was a complete idiot when I was 16)

I am a minimalist - I throw EVERYTHING away

I may be British but I can't stand tea!

I do however like green tea

I also can't stand Coke (as in the drink!)

My favourite tv programme is Homes Under the Hammer

Whenever I go on holiday my biggest fear is losing my suitcase so I always carry a bikini in my hand luggage just in case

I have a brother and a half sister

My birthday is the 27th May

I don't eat anything from the sea. It all creeps me out!

I am 5' 3" tall

My Daddy died of cancer when I was 10 years old :(

I have the sweetest tooth ever and eat some form of chocolate or sweets pretty much every day

I am absolutely terrible at cooking

But pretty good at baking

I worry about anything and everything. You'd be shocked at the ridiculous things I've had sleepless nights over!

I am incredible at building flat pack furniture. My proudest build was a tv stand which 5 other people had tried and failed to build before me!

My favourite film of all time is Home Alone

I went to primary school with Harry Styles

I have never broken a bone, had an operation or had to have stitches

I have 9 piercings

I passed my driving test 8 and a half years ago but have never owned a car

I can still recite the lyrics to pretty much every Spice Girls song ever

If you're still reading this then well done you! I hope you feel you know me a tad better now.

December Faves

This month my favourites are a tad beauty heavy with one random thrown in but Ive just really enjoyed trying new products! So without further ado, here we are...

I'm a bit late to jump on the old bandwagon with these miceller water makeup removers but I was diagnosed with a skin condition recently which made meant changing up my skincare routine to products which contain as little ingredients as possible. Oh my god how AMAZING is this stuff!? It literally melts away your makeup in a flash.

I turned the grand old age of 26 last year so to celebrate I took myself to the Clinique counter to find an anti-aging solution to get rid of my wrinkles! Ive tried various lotions and potions in the past but i've always found them very greasy which is not good for my STILL very oily teenage skin! The lady recommended this serum as it is very light and not at all greasy. So far so good and my skin is looking better than ever.

Oh dear GOD I am obsessed! I started watching Gossip Girl when it first came out but stopped watching around the second series due to having too much uni work! I started again from the beginning and in the 2 weeks I was at home for Christmas I got through 3 series! I just love Blair Waldorf's style and have seriously considered digging out all my old headbands!

I've always been a bit skeptical about spending a lot of money on nail polish as I didn't think that there was a difference but when I was given a voucher for an Essie nail polish my world was changed! These polishes dry so quickly and and just do not budge! My last coat of nail polish lasted 5 days with not one chip! They are a little pricier than normal polishes but are definitely worth the money and are quite often on 3 for 2 in Boots

Winter always makes my lips so cracked and sore. Ive found that the majority of lip balms seem to make it worse if anything! Im a big fan of the Palmers Cocoa butter range anyway so I thought id try out this lip balm and I love it! I makes your lips all soft and smooth and kissable! :)

What have you been loving this month?

What I Got For Christmas 2014

Ok so this is very late but i've been away for a lot of Christmas so am only now in one place with all of my presents! I just want to take a quick moment to say that I am so so grateful for everything I was given and I was truly spoilt this year.

My hair is naturally very fine and absolutely poker straight so for Christmas I asked for some straighteners for curling my hair. My mum is one of those people who loves to read lots of reviews before buying anything so she bought me the Babyliss Elegance Pro 235 Straighteners as apparently many people have said that these are actually better than GHD's! I have only used these a couple of times but so far so good!

My brother bought me the Soleil Tan De Chanel and a couple of Essie Nail Polishes

ALOT of chocolate and sweeties from various family members!

My Mummy also gave me this rather cute dressing gown with little ears and some cat slippers!

I wanted a little purse to use while I'm using smaller handbags so Tom bought me this Louis Vuitton zip purse which is small but absolutely perfect for my needs!

And finally this one was a complete surprise! I did a degree in Fashion Design at University so used to make a lot of clothes and adapt things that i'd bought. For some reason though as soon as I finished uni I stopped. Tom thought this was a great shame so for Christmas he bought me this little purple sewing machine to encourage me to start making again! Its the cutest thing ever and I'm so excited to start using it!

Once again I am so very grateful for everything I received for Christmas and had such a lovely time. Im just so sad its all over already!

What did you get for Christmas?
